Shadows

They pull me in,
-I look and spin-
those shadows in your eyes

You've always worn them on your face
      making an intricate lace
shadows revealing-
They tell me how you are reeling
            falling
                  calling
asking for help, controlling yourself
while still putting it all away on your shelf.

You know I watch, I care
keeping my gaze fixed on that stare
and yet... you hide
         keep it inside
            ... and you forget
how you affect

how you
     pull
          me
               in.
And so I fall, answer your silent call
